iboss Appoints Chief Product Officer and SVP of Technical Operations to Support Rapid Growth

iboss, the leader in cloud-delivered network security, announces it has appointed Eric Cornelius as Chief Product Officer and Wallace Sann as Senior Vice President of Technical Operations. In their new roles, the two new senior leaders will be responsible for increasing the adoption of the company’s Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and zero-trust (ZTNA) solutions. Cornelius will oversee the strategy and development of iboss’s best-in-class cybersecurity solutions while Sann will help execute the company’s go-to-market plan, drive value realization for customers and further improve user experience.

Cornelius joins iboss having most recently held the title of Chief Product Architect at BlackBerry, where he helped ensure the enterprise software company remained on the cutting edge of security innovation. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer for Cylance, where he was instrumental in scaling the firm before its acquisition. Cornelius brings to iboss nearly two decades of experience in the cybersecurity and computer science fields, having also spent several years in critical security roles with the Department of Homeland Security and the United States Army.

Sann joins iboss from IronNet Cybersecurity, where he served as vice president of worldwide sales engineering and enablement. Prior to IronNet, held the title VP of Global Systems Engineering and Government CTO at Forescout Technologies. Sann brings to the company more than 20 years of deep experience building, leading and scaling high performance, value-driven, customer-focused go-to-market teams. Over the course of his career in the cybersecurity industry, he has successfully overseen the generation of key pipeline opportunities, developed critical relationships with leading channel partners and markedly improved global hiring strategy and overall product awareness.

“Having Eric and Wallace join our team is truly a one-two punch,” said iboss CEO Paul Martini. “Eric’s experience developing and overseeing the strategy behind best-in-class cybersecurity solutions and Wallace’s proven ability to successfully scale innovative organizations further strengthens our competitive advantage. The future of security is in the cloud and our new team members will help us reach and protect even more of the world’s biggest and best companies.”

iboss’s SASE platform delivers its best-in-class network security capabilities — including network firewalls, web gateway proxies and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) — in the cloud, ensuring users are protected no matter where they go. This eliminates the need for expensive network security appliances that cannot meet the demands of modern workforces. The company’s cloud-native technology is built on a patented containerized architecture and microservices that ensure safety while allowing for automatic scaling to ensure fast and reliable connections.

The new hires join iboss on the heels of a $145 million fund raise that will be used to support the firm’s rapid growth as the COVID-19 pandemic continues accelerating an ongoing shift to cloud-based cybersecurity providers. In their new roles, Cornelius and Sann will report directly to iboss CEO Paul Martini.
