Malwarebytes Launches ThreatDown - Cyber Solution for IT-Constrained Organizations

Malwarebytes, a leading provider of real-time cyber protection, has unveiled its latest offering, ThreatDown, a product family designed to provide effective and user-friendly cybersecurity solutions for IT-constrained organizations. Formerly known as Malwarebytes for Business, ThreatDown solutions are tailored to combat threats while also simplifying the IT experience, featuring innovations such as the new Security Advisor dashboard and ThreatDown Bundles, which combine technologies and services necessary to defend against today's complex cyber threats.

Malwarebytes has restructured its business operations, dividing them into two distinct units, each operating under the leadership of the Malwarebytes executive team. The two units cater to different customer segments, with Malwarebytes serving consumers and ThreatDown focusing on businesses, partners, and Managed Service Providers (MSPs). This strategic approach ensures that each customer segment receives specialized expertise, solutions, and support tailored to their unique requirements.

In many mid-market organizations, the IT department is often constrained, with limited staff and resources. According to IDC, 60% of mid-market organizations have only 1 to 4 full-time IT personnel, making complex integrations, installations, or management of tech tools a daunting task. ThreatDown addresses this challenge by simplifying complex security processes, offering an intuitive user interface, and streamlining deployment. It provides a scalable platform with a single agent and console, enabling organizations to protect their people, devices, and data efficiently and swiftly.

Marcin Kleczynski, Founder and CEO of Malwarebytes, emphasized the essence of ThreatDown, stating, "ThreatDown is about reducing the attack surface area as well as avoiding headaches and bringing down costs. We know cybersecurity can be complicated. Our goal is to remove the complexity for our partners and customers so they can gain peace of mind knowing they have a trusted expert in their corner."

The ThreatDown portfolio builds upon the company's award-winning Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution and Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service, offering two new offerings:

ThreatDown Security Advisor: This tool analyzes an organization's cybersecurity posture and generates a health score based on its findings. It highlights gaps in defenses and offers actionable recommendations for improvements that can be implemented in minutes. The dashboard provides IT administrators or MSPs with an overview of security health and offers one-click guidance for quick enhancements. Beta users reported approximately a 10% increase in their overall security score, indicating tangible improvements in prevention and remediation capabilities.

ThreatDown Bundles: Recognizing that merely stopping malware is no longer sufficient, ThreatDown Bundles combine technology with services to create a comprehensive security approach. These bundles cover aspects ranging from reducing the attack surface and prevention to detection, response, and remediation. Organizations can choose from various bundle options, including AI-assisted remediation and fully managed 24/7/365 support, all offered at accessible price points. This simplifies the process of selecting the right security technology to meet an organization's specific needs.

Malwarebytes' ThreatDown represents a commitment to providing robust yet straightforward endpoint security solutions, helping organizations protect themselves against evolving cyber threats while minimizing operational complexities and costs.
