Action1 Unveils Enhanced Patch Management Platform to Safeguard Enterprises

Action1 Corporation has unveiled an upgraded version of its risk-based patch management platform, tailored to meet the needs of modern work-from-anywhere enterprises. This release amalgamates vulnerability discovery and remediation functionalities, empowering businesses to bolster their cybersecurity defenses against looming threats like ransomware attacks and security breaches.

Central to the enhanced Action1 platform is its real-time identification of vulnerabilities across the spectrum of enterprise endpoints. Drawing insights from an extensive array of external threat intelligence sources, the platform assesses over 200,000 vulnerabilities. This approach offers instant visibility into these vulnerabilities, enabling organizations to make more informed prioritization decisions and seamlessly automate the remediation process.

According to Mike Walters, President and co-founder of Action1, the Verizon 2023 Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR) highlights vulnerability exploitation as one of the top three methods leveraged by attackers to infiltrate organizations. Walters emphasizes that addressing unpatched software is crucial, as it often contributes to 20% to 40% of breaches. The updated Action1 platform aims to mitigate this risk by significantly reducing the mean-time-to-remediate (MTTR) vulnerabilities.

Among the platform's key features is an intuitive real-time dashboard that provides an overview of application vulnerabilities, aiding organizations in aligning vulnerability remediation with their service-level agreements. Additionally, the platform supplies in-depth information on each vulnerability, encompassing details like CVE numbers, CVSS scores, and attack vectors.

The new version facilitates automated remediation, empowering enterprises to apply available patches, eliminate unsupported or legacy software, or employ compensating controls, either within a specific scope or across the entire enterprise. Moreover, the platform boasts improved reporting capabilities, including an automated patch summary digest delivered via email.

In a bid to streamline secure software deployment, Action1 has expanded its 3rd party software patch depository with 10 new apps, taking the total count to over 110. This repository ensures the efficient and secure dissemination of software and updates, bolstering the platform's utility for businesses seeking comprehensive and reliable cybersecurity solutions. ###
