Cygilant Launches New Enhancements to SOCVue Security Operations and Analytics Platform

Cygilant, provider of Cybersecurity-as-a-Service to mid-sized organizations, recently launched new enhancements to its SOCVue platform that improve the speed, efficiency and accuracy of how the company collaborates and solves problems for customers.

Cygilant’s SOCVue platform speeds threat detection and response by putting the emphasis on the security experts themselves and helping them to do their jobs more effectively, so they can focus on delivering best-in-industry service to customers.

I spoke with Kevin Landt, VP of product management at Cygilant to discuss the new features and benefits of the company's SOCVue platform.

What is the SOCVue platform? What are the key differentiators?

Cygilant’s SOCVue security operations and analytics platform brings together security events from a wide range of data sources to help security analysts investigate and analyze thousands of threat alerts, ensuring that customers concentrate on those that matter most. The platform enables quick and effective communication between IT teams and Cygilant’s Security Operations Center (SOC), improving the speed, efficiency and accuracy of how the company collaborates and solves problems for customers.

Who could benefit from using SOCVue?

IT and security teams at small and mid-sized businesses benefit the most from engaging with Cygilant and using the SOCVue platform to identify potential issues and investigate and eliminate false positives, presenting only actionable data to customers. SOCVue can also be used as the system of record for incident response and reporting, helping customers meet all of their security and compliance requirements.

Tell us about the new enhancements to the SOCVue platform.

The new features added to the SOCVue platform include the establishment of a Centralized Information Source that incorporates all key information on to one screen, making it easier for security analysts to triage, investigate and respond to alerts more efficiently and enabling workflows to be completed in fewer steps. In addition, customers now have the ability to easily share files with their dedicated SOC team, making it easier to diagnose potential vulnerabilities and threats. Remote settings management options have also been included, creating a better experience for customers via a single-pane of glass, and a new monthly vulnerability management report was designed to make it easier for customers to understand their environment and to share user-friendly reports with company executives.
