Immersive Labs has launched the Immersive Labs Resilience Score to measure an organization’s workforce preparedness for cyber attacks and breaches. The score is based on years of benchmarking data across industry verticals and will help organizations identify weaknesses in their teams’ cyber capabilities, address skills gaps, and contribute to lowering insurance premiums.
According to a study commissioned by Immersive Labs and conducted by Forrester Consulting, 80% of cyber leaders don’t think or are unsure their teams have the capabilities to respond to future attacks. The Immersive Labs Resilience Score is designed to address this lack of confidence by assessing, benchmarking, and increasing resilience based on performance data.
The Immersive Labs platform provides realistic simulations and hands-on cybersecurity labs to evaluate individual and team capabilities across the entire workforce, from executive decision-makers to cyber defense, application security, IT, cloud teams, and more. The Resilience Score is calculated based on several factors, including the ability of executive and crisis management teams to manage complex cyber incidents, cyber teams’ ability to solve complex scenarios using real-world environments, and developers' ability to code securely and systematically reduce vulnerabilities in the software development life cycle.
The Resilience Score will allow organizations to view their overall resilience against industry benchmarks and best practices and monitor their progress over time. It will help them identify skills gaps and address weaknesses to prevent or mitigate damage to their revenues and brand reputations. The score can also contribute to lowering insurance premiums by demonstrating that the organization has proper security framework coverage, including MITRE ATT&CK, and that teams and individuals are mapping to job skills and keeping their technical abilities up to date.
