Ontinue Adds Managed Dark Web Monitoring to Its MXDR Service

Ontinue has added managed dark web monitoring to its ION MXDR service, bringing external exposure findings into the same investigation and response workflows used for internal security alerts.

The service monitors for credentials tied to customer domains, suspicious lookalike domains and brand impersonation across selected clear, deep and dark web sources. Ontinue's Cyber Defense Center analysts validate and prioritize findings before approved actions run automatically or with customer oversight.

External findings can flow into Microsoft Sentinel and the ION SecOps Platform, where they are investigated alongside other signals. That integration is the main distinction from stand-alone monitoring feeds, which can leave customers with alerts but no clear response path.

Dark web visibility cannot prove that every exposed credential is current or exploitable, so validation remains important. The operational advantage comes from connecting external indicators to identity logs, endpoint evidence and response controls before attackers use the same information.
