OpenText Pushes AI-Ready Cybersecurity Forward With Unified, Governed Defenses

OpenText is betting that the future of enterprise security won’t be about adding more point solutions—but about fusing artificial intelligence directly into the heart of cybersecurity operations. The company unveiled new capabilities in its latest Cloud Editions 25.4 release this week, positioning itself as a key player in secure information management for AI-driven enterprises.

From AI Velocity to AI Governance

As organizations rush to embed generative and autonomous systems into daily workflows, many are discovering that the speed of AI can quickly outpace the speed of security. OpenText’s latest cybersecurity portfolio aims to close that gap.

“Enterprises want to harness the speed of AI without sacrificing security,” said Muhi Majzoub, OpenText’s EVP of Security Products. “To keep pace with AI’s velocity, we are giving security and IT teams the tools to work faster, smarter, and with greater confidence. That is why we are closing the loop in application security and data, unifying identity across complex environments, and expanding managed detection and response with compliance readiness.”

Identity and Access, Simplified for Hybrid Reality

The new OpenText Core Identity Foundation gives enterprises a cloud-based approach to unify access controls across on-prem, cloud, and legacy systems—without re-architecting their infrastructure. This move advances OpenText’s Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) vision, enforcing Zero Trust and least-privilege access through a single SaaS control layer that governs every identity store across the edge.

AI Auto-Remediation in the DevSecOps Pipeline

Security debt—lingering vulnerabilities left behind in code—has long been the Achilles’ heel of fast-moving development teams. OpenText’s Application Security Aviator 25.4 takes aim at this problem with automated, AI-driven code remediation. Integrated with the Fortify Command Line Interface (fcli), it enables developers to patch vulnerabilities within minutes, not days, and validates fixes in real time before they’re pushed to production.

Threat Detection and Compliance by Design

To round out the portfolio, Core Threat Detection and Response introduces behavioral analytics into Security Operations Centers, helping analysts surface subtle anomalies in user or machine behavior. Paired with Data Privacy and Protection—an advanced encryption service that shields sensitive data at rest, in transit, and in AI pipelines—OpenText is presenting a compliance-ready defense model. These tools are built to support major regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.

For organizations looking to offload complexity, OpenText Managed Security Services provides extended detection and response (MxDR) and PCI-DSS attestation, giving enterprises continuous visibility and expert-driven threat response while easing the operational burden on in-house teams.

Security Built for an AI-Native Enterprise

With Cloud Editions 25.4, OpenText isn’t just talking about AI-ready security—it’s embedding it. The company’s vision of “secure AI at scale” blends automation, governance, and compliance into one architecture. It’s a strategy designed for enterprises that want to innovate with AI while keeping their data and systems trusted, governed, and defensible.
