HYPR Expands Identity Security Arsenal with New Tools and Strategic Alliance with HID

HYPR is betting big on frictionless, phishing-resistant identity assurance—and it’s bringing that vision to life with a fresh product lineup and a headline-grabbing partnership with HID Global. Announced at Identiverse, HYPR’s latest moves are aimed squarely at erasing the boundary between physical and digital access while making FIDO-based authentication more usable, scalable, and audit-ready.

At the heart of HYPR’s announcements is HYPR Affirm, now available as a free trial for any organization looking to test-drive identity verification without the bureaucratic drag. The platform allows users to verify identities via document checks, facial recognition, and passive liveness detection—all without IT intervention. It’s a bold play for transparency and accessibility in a space often crowded with closed systems and steep onboarding costs.

“We’re committed to making best-in-class identity assurance accessible and user-friendly,” said Bojan Simic, CEO of HYPR. “The public launch of free HYPR Affirm and the Workforce Audit, combined with our strategic partnership with HID Global, fundamentally elevates enterprise security.”

Closing the Loop: Digital Meets Physical

Arguably the most strategic piece of the puzzle is HYPR’s new alliance with HID Global, the identity solutions powerhouse known for its Crescendo smart cards. The integration enables organizations to use a single credential—either hardware or software-based—for everything from opening doors to logging into cloud apps and workstations.

“Unifying physical and digital security has long been a critical challenge for enterprises,” said Sean Dyon, VP of Authentication at HID. “By combining HYPR's phishing-resistant FIDO authentication with HID Crescendo smart cards, we're enabling organizations to truly deploy one smart credential for every door, device, and application.”

The combined solution supports:

  • Passwordless login with device-bound passkeys

  • Smart provisioning with single-step enrollment

  • Unified management via a centralized console

  • Flexible deployment for mobile and non-mobile environments

  • Dual-function credentials for seamless physical and digital access

It’s a convergence play that nods to rising demand from enterprises operating in high-security and hybrid access environments—think call centers, R&D labs, and manufacturing floors.

Identity Audits, Reinvented

Also new is the HYPR Workforce Identity Verification Audit, a service that offers a rapid, one-shot identity sweep for organizations. Designed for both proactive and reactive use cases—from compliance checks to post-breach remediation—the audit delivers full-spectrum proofing, logging, and risk flagging.

With deepfakes and synthetic identity fraud exploding, the timing is prescient. According to HYPR, 95% of organizations experienced some form of deepfake attack in the last year, making identity assurance not just a compliance box—but a frontline defense.

“Identity is the new perimeter,” Simic emphasized. “We are dedicated to helping our customers secure it.”

Why This Matters

While the cybersecurity market is saturated with identity providers, HYPR’s push stands out for two reasons: it blends hardening with usability, and it doesn’t treat physical access as an afterthought. Its platform-level ambition—extending from workforce audits to real-world smart card access—hints at a future where identity verification is continuous, contextual, and invisible to users.

The biggest question now: will enterprises adopt these tools as part of routine hygiene, or only in moments of crisis?

Either way, HYPR seems ready to answer that call—door locks and all.
