Mohamed Lazzouni, Chief Technology Officer, Aware Inc.
"As we head into 2021, organizations should look out for emerging markets, global competition, fast urbanization, shifts in the location of innovation centers and collaborative innovation that will be working together to move the industry towards intelligent uses of analytics of data to gain better insights on issues ranging from eKYC to hyper-personalization.
The uptick for data scientists and engineers combined with visualization technologies clearly demonstrate that the use and analytics and visualization of data is being turned into the critical competitive capabilities that organizations need, and this trend is likely to affect every facet of their business. In addition, this trend is likely to continue for many years in the form of digital transformation and data centric strategies. IT leaders need to think of these capabilities NOT as cost centers, but instead as profit centers. They need to have comprehensive strategies designed starting from the customer and working inward. They need to use the data and analytics assets to compete in real time, derive critical insights, and explore horizons that were not previously possible to gain and retain a sustainable competitive advantage."
