Noname Security Bolsters Leadership Team with Strategic Executive Appointments

Noname Security, a leading provider of API security solutions, today announced significant changes to its executive team, underscoring the company's commitment to driving global customer success and product innovation in the face of escalating API security demands. Michael Baker has been elevated to the position of President, while Yuval Barkan has been appointed as the new Chief Product Officer. These announcements come on the heels of the December 2023 additions of Yossi Dagan as Chief Financial Officer, Einat Idan as Chief of Staff, and Arie Sholomon as Vice President of Research and Development to Noname Security's executive cadre.

In his expanded role, Baker will continue to lead Noname Security’s efforts in customer acquisition, expansion, and success on a global scale. Barkan is set to take the helm of product innovation and technology advancement, addressing the growing market needs for robust API security. Both Baker and Barkan will directly report to Oz Golan, the CEO and Co-founder of Noname Security.

Reflecting on the company's journey and the strategic importance of these appointments, Oz Golan stated, "When we launched Noname Security over three years ago, we identified a gap in API cybersecurity. From a single product, we've evolved into a comprehensive platform, and our once small team has expanded into an organization poised for the next growth phase. Yuval brings invaluable experience to drive our next stage of growth, and I am honored to welcome him and celebrate Mike’s ongoing contributions to our company."

Baker's promotion to President is a testament to his impactful leadership within Noname Security since joining the company shortly before its emergence from stealth mode. As Chief Revenue Officer, he orchestrated the development of all sales motions—spanning inside sales, field sales, technical sales, customer success, and customer support—through a channel-first sales model. This strategy has been instrumental in achieving significant year-over-year Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth. Baker's prior experience includes senior Go-To-Market leadership roles at notable cybersecurity firms such as Armis, Cylance, Inc., and McAfee, where he played a crucial role in developing sales strategies that generated over $100 million in sales.

Barkan's appointment as Chief Product Officer is expected to further Noname Security's product leadership in the API security domain. With a rich background that includes serving as Chief Product Officer at Pagaya Technologies Ltd., and more than a decade of experience in product management, research and development, and operations, Barkan is well-equipped to propel Noname Security’s product innovation forward.

As Noname Security continues to grow and adapt to the changing cybersecurity landscape, the strategic reshaping of its leadership team signals a strong commitment to addressing the complex challenges of API security with innovative solutions and expert guidance.
