Saviynt Taps Channel Veteran Steve Blacklock to Supercharge Global Partner Strategy

In a strategic move to bolster its partner-first growth ambitions, cloud identity security firm Saviynt has appointed Steve Blacklock as its new Senior Vice President of Global Partners and Channel Chief. Blacklock brings more than three decades of experience building high-impact alliance programs and will now be tasked with scaling Saviynt’s global partner ecosystem to unlock new go-to-market momentum.

Blacklock most recently led North American Partner Sales at Palo Alto Networks, where he helped expand the company’s footprint across GSIs, MSSPs, cloud hyperscalers, and value-added resellers. His track record includes a string of strategic leadership roles at enterprise heavyweights like Icertis, Citrix, and Cisco—each marked by critical contributions to partner innovation, cloud migration, and ecosystem expansion.

“Steve’s expertise in building and scaling world-class partner organizations is exactly what we need as we enter our next phase of growth,” said Todd Rotger, Chief Revenue Officer at Saviynt. “His leadership will be instrumental in expanding our global reach, delivering long-term, measurable value over the life cycle of our partner relationships, and fueling our partner first strategy.”

At Saviynt, Blacklock will oversee all aspects of global partner engagement—from deepening strategic alliances to enabling sales collaboration and onboarding new advisory, solution, and technology partners. The move comes as demand surges for modern identity governance platforms capable of managing access in increasingly complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

“I’m excited to join Saviynt after meeting with the executive team and hearing their commitment to being ‘partners first,’” Blacklock said. “It is a pivotal moment for the company, and I’m looking forward to helping grow the team and broaden the partner ecosystem. The Saviynt Identity Cloud platform is the opportunity for our partners to deliver on Digital Identity as a key strategic security imperative for our joint customers.”

Saviynt’s identity platform has gained traction among large enterprises seeking a cloud-native approach to access governance, privileged access, and zero trust controls. The company is betting on its partner ecosystem to extend reach and scale solution delivery across verticals where identity security is increasingly seen as foundational to risk management and compliance.

Blacklock’s arrival signals a doubling down on this strategy. With executive leadership backing and a rapidly evolving threat landscape, Saviynt appears poised to convert its technical strengths into channel-led growth.

“Our cloud-native approach uniquely positions us to lead through innovation and collaboration,” Blacklock added. “The commitment from our senior leadership sets the partner organization up for success.”

With the identity security market growing at a blistering pace—and vendor consolidation underway across IGA, PAM, and CIEM categories—Saviynt’s expanded partner play could determine how effectively it competes in the next wave of cloud security transformation.
