In a cybersecurity landscape increasingly defined by automation, AI-powered attacks, and digital disinformation, EC-Council’s Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Hall of Fame 2025 Industry Report puts the spotlight back where it belongs: on the human minds defending the digital frontier.
Released this week, the report is more than a celebration of technical excellence. It’s a data-rich testament to the power of ethical hacking as a force for professional transformation, industry resilience, and national security. Featuring insights from hundreds of top-tier cybersecurity professionals across 93 countries, the report distills four primary areas of impact: Career Advancement, Industry Recognition, Hands-On Proficiency, and Skills Gained.
The numbers are staggering. Every one of the report’s surveyed professionals reported increased workplace respect after earning the CEH certification. Nearly all—99%—affirmed the credential had a direct positive impact on their careers. And 97% cited CEH training as instrumental in helping them address emerging threats.
At the center of the report are 100 elite inductees into the CEH Hall of Fame, chosen from a competitive global pool of 460 finalists—all of whom scored at least 90% on the rigorous CEH exam. But exam scores weren’t enough. Candidates were further evaluated on real-world leadership, threat innovation, and community impact.
“This year’s Hall of Fame showcases the extraordinary caliber of cybersecurity professionals shaping the future of global digital defense,” said Jay Bavisi, Group President of EC-Council. “These inductees have elevated ethical hacking to a strategic discipline, where their expertise not only protects critical systems but actively drives organizational growth, resilience, and trust.”
The report also highlights the CEH program’s hands-on rigor, with 99% of respondents identifying the virtual labs as vital to their real-world hacking skills. The value proposition is clear: this isn’t just book knowledge—it’s battlefield training.
And that battlefield is evolving rapidly. In response, EC-Council has unveiled its most ambitious upgrade yet: Certified Ethical Hacker Powered with AI Capabilities. Framed by a "Learn, Certify, Engage, and Compete" structure, the new program integrates immersive labs and real-world simulations, aligning directly with over 45 cybersecurity job roles.
The move underscores a growing truth in cybersecurity circles: ethical hacking is no longer a niche—it’s a career cornerstone.
As Bavisi put it, “The CEH Hall of Fame 2025 Industry Report not only reflects the incredible achievements of these professionals but also signals the growing influence of ethical hackers in shaping the future of cybersecurity. As these leaders continue to advance their expertise, they are setting new standards for the profession and ensuring organizations are prepared to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world.”
For an industry constantly sprinting to stay ahead of threats, this year’s CEH Hall of Fame makes one thing clear: the best defense still starts with the right people—and the right training.
